London Book & Screen Week event: The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel: A Very Special Screening

One of London’s most unique hotels, proud of its artistic heritage and a real must for any literary lover.

Charlotte Street Hotel is situated in the media neighbourhood just north of Soho and is surrounded by some of London’s best bars, restaurants and cafes.

Inspired by the work of the Bloomsbury set, Kit Kemp, owner and world-renowned Design Director, has featured and paid homage to them throughout the hotel. The principal artists of the group were Vanessa Bell, Roger Fry, and Duncan Grant whose work can be found in the Drawing Room and Library. Kemp also commissioned artist Alexander Hollweg to create a modern-day mural for the walls of Oscar Bar and Restaurant.

The hotel comprises 52 individually designed bedrooms and suites, a spacious lobby, two drawing rooms, a bar & brasserie, three private event rooms and gym.

Charlotte Street Hotel will be hosting the London Book & Screen very special screening of The Best Exotic Marigold hotel in its state of- the-art screening room.  Beautifully styled with orange and blue leather seats by Poltona Frau, the screening room is a luxurious setting to enjoy this BAFTA nominated British film.

Why not make your visit extra special by booking into one of the individually designed 52 bedrooms and suites? The top floor is occupied by a vast, stylish and luxurious Woolf suite, overlooking the London rooftops, named after the famous writer and publisher, Virginia Woolf – how fabulous!

Five years on from its original release and as part of London Book & Screen Week, join us for this extra special screening of the BAFTA winning The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

Not only will you enjoy the film in the luxurious surroundings of the Charlotte Street Hotel but you’ll also enjoy a pre-screening interview with non-other than author Deborah Moggach whose novel These Foolish Things was adapted into the hit film.
